Palmer Staffing Services is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk Near Washington, DC
Palmer Staffing is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to help the Accounting and Procurement Department in DC. The candidate will need to start asap. Must have 2 years of accounting experience.
Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. Assistance is needed for about 6 months, possibly longer. The office is in SW DC – free parking is available. No remote work. Must pass a criminal background check.
Status: Temporary Contract
Salary: $28/hour
What You'll Do:
- Performing one or more routine accounting clerical operations
- Examining, verifying, and correcting various accounting documents to ensure completeness and accuracy of data in accordance to accounting procedures.
- Specific tasks/duties are assigned under adequate supervision.
- Entry-level reconciliation and posting will be assigned under detailed guidance.
- In most instances, an employee in this position will rely on the supervisors’ instructions. Completed work will be reviewed for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Accounting clerk experience required
